Who does Manuel Mayayo think he is?
Bio
Manuel Mayayo is a designer and photographer based in Buenos Aires. He works as a digital product leader. He photographs the street on film and digitally: doors, reflections, objects, people, and messages he finds while walking.
He holds a degree in Multimedia Technology and completed a master’s programme in Interactive Design at the University of Buenos Aires. He has taught design and research at the University of Buenos Aires and Universidad Maimónides. Street in My Eyes brings together his photographic series and editorial projects.
Statement
I walk and let the city interrupt me. I photograph quickly whatever catches my attention: doors, reflections, objects, people, and messages I find along the way. I am interested in looking from the outside and imagining I could stay. I keep coming back to one question: why do I feel I don’t belong? Photography is my way of trying to get in.
